Indiana approval packet · working draft

School Operations & Student Handbook

This controlled packet converts the completed curriculum into a school-ready operating system. It defines the policies, records, examination safeguards, student documents, and submission exhibits that can be prepared now while the academy waits for written Commission direction.

10Core school policies
8Exam controls
11Application exhibits

Draft control: This is not a final student contract and does not claim school or course approval. Items marked for Commission confirmation, owner decision, pricing, personnel selection, or legal review must be resolved before use or submission.

Section 01

School policies and rules of operation

Working language for the formal student handbook and school submission.

01

Admission and enrollment

Enrollment is separate from license eligibility. The school verifies the student's legal name, contact information, selected course, disclosures, payment terms, and acknowledgment before activating credit-bearing access. Students are directed to current PLA eligibility information and remain responsible for satisfying licensing requirements.

02

Identity and account security

Each student receives an individual account and may not share access. Identity controls will be finalized after the Commission answers the delivery-model request. The working control set includes verified email, legal-name match, authentication at enrollment and assessment, session records, anomaly review, and documented administrator resolution.

03

Attendance and instructional time

Credit is based only on verified instructional activity. Breaks, optional study, technical support, idle time, repeated navigation, and unverified open-browser time do not count. Final rules for asynchronous time, interaction, make-up work, and attendance depend on written Commission direction.

04

Satisfactory progress

Students must complete required lessons, activities, knowledge checks, and examinations in sequence. The platform records progress and identifies weak areas. A student who does not meet a required benchmark receives remediation before the next controlled attempt.

05

Grading and examinations

Knowledge checks support learning; the official school-final designation, passing score, supervision, retake interval, attempt limit, and alternate-form rules remain conditional until the Commission responds. Scores may never be altered without a dated administrative record explaining the authority and reason.

06

Academic integrity and conduct

Impersonation, shared accounts, unauthorized assistance, copying, recording secure questions, circumvention of time or identity controls, harassment, or falsification of records may suspend credit and trigger an investigation. Students receive notice and a documented review opportunity.

07

Accessibility and accommodations

Students may request reasonable access support through a confidential process. Accommodations change access when appropriate but do not waive essential course, identity, time, competency, or regulator requirements. External licensing-exam accommodations are handled through the applicable examination process.

08

Technology and interruptions

The school publishes supported-device and connection requirements. Verified completed work is preserved when practical. Technical failures are logged; credit, resumption, or a new attempt is granted only under the written interruption policy and without exposing secure assessment content.

09

Complaints and appeals

Students first submit a written complaint to the school. The school acknowledges receipt, investigates, preserves evidence, issues a written decision, and records any corrective action. Students are never prevented from contacting the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency or another lawful authority.

10

Records, privacy, and changes

The school limits access to student records, documents corrections, preserves required education and financial records for the period confirmed by current authority, and maintains curriculum version control. Material changes are not silently applied to an enrolled student's completion record.

Section 02

Written examination and security plan

One control model that can be finalized for the delivery method Indiana accepts.

ControlRequired operating ruleDisposition
Assessment designationName the official course final and separate it from chapter practice and exam-prep quizzes.Owner decision + PLA confirmation
IdentityMatch the test taker to the enrolled student using the Commission-accepted method.PLA confirmation
Environment / supervisionApply the approved remote, in-person, or other supervised condition without assuming browser monitoring alone is sufficient.PLA confirmation
Question securityUse controlled forms, restricted access, randomized order where allowed, no public answer display, and incident logging.Build after final exam selection
Passing standardPublish the required score exactly and distinguish course completion from licensing-exam passage.Authority check
RetakesSet waiting period, remediation, attempt limit, alternate form, and appeal process.Owner decision + authority check
InterruptionsPause or invalidate an attempt under written criteria; preserve timestamps and document administrator action.Policy ready; platform control pending
Audit recordRetain attempt, form/version, start/end, answers, score, identity event, incident, and final disposition.Data-field build pending

Commission-response switch

If Indiana accepts asynchronous online delivery and remote assessment, the academy will activate the approved identity, attendance, interaction, supervision, and exam controls. If Indiana requires an in-person or separately supervised final, the curriculum can remain online while the school uses the accepted final-examination arrangement. Neither model will be represented as approved before written confirmation.
