Indiana exam-preparation companion
PASS FIRST Exam Prep System
Turn chapter performance into a deliberate exam plan. Diagnose what is weak, return to the exact lesson, practice the concept in a new situation, and retake until the learning—not the answer pattern—holds.
Important separation: This is exam-preparation support. It does not replace required prelicensing instruction, the official candidate handbook, an approved course final examination, or the state licensing examination. It does not guarantee a passing score or license.

The PASS FIRST review loop
Do not memorize the answer letter—repair the concept.
Diagnose
Use the latest chapter score and detailed missed-question explanations to identify the rule, calculation, vocabulary, or scenario causing the error.
Return
Re-read the specific lesson section. Write the governing idea in plain English and explain why the strongest distractor is wrong.
Apply
Create a new brokerage example or solve a new calculation without looking at the answer. Accuracy must transfer beyond the original question.
Retake
Retake the chapter quiz after a study break. Target at least 80%; place scores below 80% back into the review cycle.

Translate the request
Circle what the question actually asks. List known facts, identify the unknown, and separate useful information from distractions.
Select the relationship
Write the formula or debit/credit relationship before inserting numbers. Convert percentages and time periods carefully.
Calculate with units
Carry dollars, square feet, acres, months, days, rates, or points through the work so an incorrect operation becomes visible.
Reason-check the result
Estimate the answer, verify direction and magnitude, and ask whether the result makes sense in the transaction described.
